Want your weekends back? Try this one tiny shift to how you approach your Friday.

Does your Friday start with a sinking feeling?

Are you focused on all the stuff you need to get through before you can take a much-needed weekend off?

Does it feel like you have to wade through concrete to get there?

Try this one tiny shift to get your weekends back AND help you focus on getting the important things done today:

Start your Friday with the intention to wrap your working week up.

Approach your task list not with the pressure to complete anything but with the intention to wrap it up so that it’s out of your mind, freeing you to be fully present in your weekend.

Wrap each project up safely ready to be picked up again next week.

I find this tiny shift from trying to complete something to wrapping it up safely, ready to get stuck straight into it with full focus next week, really powerful in helping me do the two things that really matter to me:

Being able to have kickass focus in my work AND being able to switch off and be fully present in my life outside of work.

Because both matter to me. But when work leaks into life outside of work both suffer.

Does this resonate? How do you approach Friday so you can have a proper weekend off?
